Vines : 40 years old, plot of land known as “Rouffacherweg”, meaning “Rouffach Road”, situated mid-slope to the south of the village.
Terroir : marl and sandstone. Scree and rocks of pink Vosges sandstone, covered with a beautiful deep soil rich in clay.
In the cellar : de-stemmed pinot noir grapes then gently macerated for 10 days; after devatting, the wine is placed in stainless steel vats and malolactic fermentation takes over; after fermentation, very moderate sulphiting; aged for 6 months on the lees in stainless steel vats; bottled at the estate. We put our wines in reserve to offer them at their best potential.
