Les Roches Dorées, born from a blend of 2 grape varieties: Pinot Gris and Sylvaner

Dry and gourmet wine, unique and elegant. Discover the pure stony terroir, made up of oolitic limestones of marine origin without reference to the grape varieties.

Nose : notes of white flowers, minerals, yellow fruits with a touch of almond and citrus.

Palate : ample and fragrant. Saline, brioche notes with a lingering mineral finish. Companion of choice for your gourmet dishes.

Muriel’s advice : Les Roches Dorées cuvée is an excellent dry wine for the aperitif. It will also accommodate duck glazed with spices, Norman-style veal mignon, peppers stuffed with vegetables, veal chop au gratin, wild boar hazelnut with foie gras, stuffed quail legs. Gruyère, Chavignol crottin, Emmental.

Vines : 50 years old, “Schuetzenrain” plot which means “Protected from rain” for Pinot Gris and “Kastelweg” meaning “Chemin des Châteaux” for Sylvaner.

Terroir : marl limestone. Composed of clay deposits associated with oolitic limestone pebbles of marine origin. These yellow stones which heat in the sun gave the name of the cuvée Les Roches Dorées.

In the cellar : slow and gentle pressing; fermentation without adding yeasts; very moderate sulphiting; maturing 6 months on lees in stainless steel vats; bottling at the estate. We put our wines in reserve to offer them to their best potential.
